  1. So your post mimics a collab post that's shared to both collaborator's feeds, ask the other collaborator(s) to repost the "collab" post to their page.
    • This way, you won't miss out on the larger audience benefit of collab posts.
  2. Even though you didn't add the other person as a collaborator, you can edit the post to include their name. Since you're tagging the other person, that post is likely to show up for fans of that other creator, which increases your reach.

  3. In addition to doing everything else, you also want them to share your post to their Story so you can increase your reach. Their full audience might not see the Feed post, but will more likely see the Story!
  4. If you want to create a collab post, you'll have to delete the post you published without adding collaborators and add them to the new post before hitting Publish.

  1. Make sure your account is set to public or that your collaborator is also public. Private accounts are unable to receive collaboration requests.
  2. Tap the bookmark icon beneath a post on Instagram, then tap New Collection. Add that collection's name, then tap the toggle next to "Allow friends to join this collection. Next, search for their username to add them, then tap Save. You can add up to 250 people in a collection.[2]
  3. If a private account creates a collab, only accepted followers can be invited as collaborators.
  4. You can make money with paid collab posts, but not every collab post on Instagram is paid for.
  5. You can add up to 20 people as collaborators to a post on Instagram. If you want to add more than 20 people, use the workarounds in this article.
