Adding people to your contact list on Hotmail is an easy way to keep their information on hand. Once they have been added as a contact, they will also appear on MSN Messenger so you can see when they're online and chat with them. Here are the steps for adding people to your Hotmail contacts.

How to Add Contacts to Hotmail

Sign in to Hotmail and click “New.”
Click the down arrow next to “Outlook.”
Click the red box that says “People.”
Click “New” at the top of the new page.
Fill in your contact’s information in the fields provided.
Click “Save” at the bottom to finish adding your contact.

Go to Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.

A window will appear asking you to confirm the connection. Click on "okay" or "connect".
Once you've approved the connection, you should have no problem adding your Facebook friends or Google contacts to your Hotmail account.
