Do you need to put the flashlight shortcut back on your phone? If you accidentally removed it, you can fix it fairly quickly. Once it's added back to your lock screen, you can access the flashlight whenever you need it. Here's how to add the flashlight to your lock screen on Android, iPhone, or iPad.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Lock screen.
  3. Tap the Lock screen tile.
  4. Tap the left or right shortcut.
  5. Tap Flashlight or Torch.
  6. Tap Done.

Using Android

  1. This is the cog icon. Make sure to update your Android to the latest version.
    • This method will work on Samsung Galaxy, but other Android models will have similar options. Keep in mind that some models don't support this feature.
    • If you can't add the flashlight to your lock screen, use Quick Settings. Drag your finger down from the top of your screen to open the menu. Tap the Flashlight or Torch icon to turn it on.
  2. You can usually find this below Home screen.

  3. This is the tile on the left side.
    • The lock screen editor will open.
  4. You can tap the bottom-left or bottom-right shortcut icon to change the assigned shortcut.
    • On Samsung Galaxy, you can only put two shortcuts on the lock screen at the same time.
    • A pop-up menu will open.
  5. On some devices, this may look like Torch.
    • The Flashlight/Torch icon will be added as a shortcut.
    • If you have an Android that doesn't offer shortcuts, you'll be able to access the flashlight in the Quick Settings panel when you swipe down from the top of your screen.[1]
  6. This is at the top-right corner.
    • To use the Flashlight, tap the shortcut button on your lock screen. To turn it off, tap it again.
