About Homestuck Classpects

In Sburb, the game at the heart of Homestuck and MSPaint Adventures, players embody both a class and an aspect, which combine to form their classpect, or their mythological role in the game. Each player’s classpect determines their traits, powers, and how their story unfolds. How does your story play out?

Classes:

  • Pages are blank pages who work to realize their full potential with the help of their aspect.
  • Heirs are said to attract change with the traits granted by their aspect.
  • Seers have deep knowledge of their aspect, which they use to avert misfortune.
  • Sylphs are said to heal or mend with the powers granted by their aspect.
  • Maids are said to fix or “tidy” problems using their aspect.
  • Knights live to serve their aspect, and use their aspect as a weapon to aid others.
  • Witches are said to manipulate their own aspect.
  • Mages use their understanding of their aspect to aid others.
  • Thieves & Rogues steal other aspects. Thieves use their skill to take for themselves, and Rogues distribute stolen aspects to others.
  • Bards & Princes wreak destruction through their aspects. Princes are active, while Bards are passive.
  • Muses & Lords are the most powerful classes. Muses are said to inspire, while Lords are said to instruct or dictate.

Aspects:

  • Void is the aspect of nothingness, negativity, and lack.
  • Light is the aspect of fortune, luck, and outcomes.
  • Doom is the aspect of death, hopelessness, and conclusion.
  • Life is the aspect of health, resurrection, and essence.
  • Blood is the aspect of unity, relationships, and bonds.
