4 Easy Ways to Delete or Deactivate Your TikTok Account

Once you delete your TikTok account, it will remain in "deactivated" status for 30 days in case you change your mind. If you don't sign back in within that time period, all of your account data and content will be permanently removed from TikTok. Deleting can be done with or without logging in, but it's trickier for the latter. Here's how to deactivate or delete a TikTok account using your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

Tap Delete account permanently. This is the second option.
- If you'd rather temporarily delete your account, you can select Deactivate account instead. While your account is deactivated, no one can see your account or content. You'll just need to log back in to reactivate it.^{[2]

Tap the circle at the bottom and tap Continue. Before you delete your account, it's recommended to download your TikTok data since this can't be done afterwards.
- To download a copy of your data, tap Request download.

Confirm the decision. You may be asked to tap Delete again and enter your account's password. Once you do, your TikTok account will be deleted.
- If you change your mind, log in before the 30-day period expires to reactivate your account.
