This wikiHow teaches you how to save a video you've received in a WeChat conversation to your device's image and video gallery, using Android.

  1. The WeChat icon looks like two white speech balloons in a green box on your Apps menu. WeChat will open up to a list of your recent chat conversations.
    • If WeChat opens up to a chat, tap the back button to go back to your chats list.
  2. This will open the conversation in full-screen. You can open a personal or group chat from your chats list.

  3. Find the video you want to save in the conversation, and tap the chat message with the video in it. This will open and play the video in full-screen.
  4. While the video is playing, tap and hold your screen to open a menu and see your options.
  5. This will save the video to your device's image and video gallery. You will see a confirmation message on your screen with the exact location where the video file is saved on your device.
    • Depending on your settings, the location of the saved video may vary, and you may not be able to find this video file in your gallery. Make sure to note the video location indicated in the confirmation message.
