Alright- you are drawing a cat. Four legs, whiskers, pointy ears, and a long tail. But how do you draw the eyes? This wikiHow will help you draw a realistic cat eye!

  1. 1
    Draw two curved lines.
    • The top line should curve down, while the bottom line should curve up.
    • Make sure that one of lines is longer than the other at the front of the eye.
  2. 2
Draw an oval inside of the lines. Erase the ones going out of the eye after.
    • Cats' eyes can become narrow or wide depending on their emotions or environmental lighting. However, their pupils are always vertical slits when narrowed.

  3. 3
Add a triangular part, then color it black.
  4. 4
    Thicken the lines a bit.
    • Thicken the two ends, as well as the top and bottom.
    • Don't over-do it or it will look weird.
  5. 5
Color the eye with flat colors.
    • You can finish here if you only want to create a line drawing.
  6. 6
Color it with more shading of the color.
  7. 7
    Blend the colors a bit.
    • If you are using a digital program, you can use the blur tool, airbrush tool or finger tool.
  8. 8
Add some shading and lighting and you're done!
  9. 9
You can add a single white dot for a strong highlight, or gently erase part of the pupil to show the reflection of light.
