Google's Smart Reply feature suggests quick replies for incoming text messages using AI. This time-saving feature is enabled by default in the latest version of the Google Messages app. If you don't want Smart Replies (or Quick Responses on Samsung phones, you can turn them off with a few simple clicks. Managing Smart Replies on Android
On Google Messages: Tap your profile picture, select "Messages Settings" > "Suggestions," and tap the toggle switch for "Smart Reply" to enable or disable.

Launch the Google “Messages” app on your device. It’s the blue icon with a white text box, typically found on the home screen or in the apps menu.[1]

Tap the toggle switch next to "Smart Reply." It's at the top of the suggestions menu. This will enable or disable Smart Reply.[2]

Open Messages. Depending on which Galaxy phone you are using, it may have a blue icon with a white text box, a yellow icon with an outline of a textbox, or an icon resembling a yellow sheet of paper inside an envelope.[3]
