PDF download Download Article

Are you looking to evolve your Girafarig into a Farigiraf? Farigiraf is a new Pokémon introduced in Generation 9 and is the second evolution of Girafarig (introduced back in Generation 2). Thankfully, evolving Girafarig is pretty easy—your Pokémon just has to level up once while knowing Twin Beam.

Things You Should Know

  • Girafarig evolves into Farigiraf when it's leveled up while knowing Twin Beam.
  • Girafarig learns Twin Beam at level 32, so the earliest you can get a Farigiraf is at level 33.
  • If you didn't teach Twin Beam to your Girafarig, you can teach it to your Pokémon via the summary screen.

  1. However, as Farigiraf is a new Pokémon in Generation 9, you cannot evolve a Girafarig into one in previous generations.[1]
    • Girafarig learns Twin Beam at level 32.[2] Once your Girafarig learns Twin Beam, you must level it up one more time to evolve it to Farigiraf, so the earliest you can get a Farigiraf is at level 33.
    • If you already passed up on your Girafarig learning Twin Beam, you can teach it to your Girafarig via the Pokémon's summary menu.

  1. You can only catch a Girafarig in a handful of locations, though it is also available in a new DLC area. Note that since Farigiraf is a Generation 9 Pokémon, you cannot evolve Girafarig into Farigiraf in any game released before Scarlet and Violet.[3]
    • Scarlet and Violet: West Province Areas Two and Three; Area Zero; 3-star Tera Raid Battles
    • The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero: Savanna Biome
  2. Much like Girafarig, it's a bit rare, but you can still find one in the wild if you don't feel like leveling up a Girafarig.[4]
    • Scarlet and Violet: Area Zero, 4- and 6-star Tera Raid Battles
    • The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero: Savanna Biome
