How to Locate a Washing Machine Model Number

While the brand of your washing machine may be printed on the unit's exterior, its model number and serial number are typically elsewhere on the machine. The location of your washing machine's model number sticker or plate varies by brand, and whether the machine is top-loading or front-loading. Things You Should Know

On most top-loading and front-loading washing machines, you'll find the model number on a sticker inside the door.
On some washing machines, you'll need to look on the side or the back of the unit to find the sticker.
If you have a stacked washer/dryer combo, the model and serial number sticker may be inside the dryer door.

- Under the lid near the rightmost hinge.
- On the back of the washer's control panel.

- Under the lid—lift the lid and look for a silver sticker near its bottom-right corner.
