Finding the area of a circle is a straightforward calculation if you know the length of the circle’s radius. If you don’t know the radius, however, you can still calculate the area if you are given the length of the circle’s circumference or perimeter. You can use a two-step process, solving first for the radius using the formula for the circumference: . Then you can use the formula to find the area.     Divide the circumference by 3.14 (pi): that gives you the diameter. Divide by 2: that gives you the radius. Square the radius, and multiply that by pi: that gives you the area.
