Are you looking for a way to hide who follows you on Instagram? Even though Instagram lets you customize many privacy settings, there's no way to completely hide them from your profile. But don't worry—there are a few ways to limit who can see your Instagram followers, even if you can't hide them from everyone. This wikiHow article will teach you two easy ways to hide your Instagram followers from certain people.

Can you hide who follows you on Instagram?

There is no official "hide followers" feature on Instagram. But as of May 2022, Instagram might be testing such a feature for verified (blue checkmark) accounts.
- Some users report that in early May, they started seeing the message "Only (username) can see all of their followers" when looking at certain celebrity and video game companies' followers.^{[1]

Make Your Account Private

When your Instagram account is private, only people who follow you can see your followers. If you're okay with your posts and stories being friends-only, setting your profile as Private is the closest you'll get to hiding your followers. To make your account private:^{[2]

Remove people to prevent them from seeing who follows you. Now that your account is private, the only people who can see your posts, stories, and followers are people who follow you. While they'll still see how many people follow you on your profile, they won't be able to click or tap your follower count to see the names of your followers, nor will they be able to contact you or see your posts and stories. How can I report someone on Instagram?

Click the down arrow ⬇ on their profile, which is a drop-down menu, click report and say the reason you are reporting. Do this only for content that breaks the rules. If you just dislike them, block them instead, which can be done with the same menu.

My friend's profile says they have 103 followers, but when I check the list I see only 79 followers listed. Does this mean that some of their followers have blocked me?

Possibly, or it's a glitch within the system or those were fake followers or spambots, as mentioned above. Ask your friend if they can see any followers you can't see.
