Peculiarly, the Amazon Kindle Fire does not include one of the greatest ways to view videos over the internet. If you own a Kindle Fire, you can install the popular YouTube app with a few simple steps. Doing so requires an Internet connection and access to a computer, so make sure you have them before getting started.

Things You Should Know

  • Begin by enabling sideloading apps. Open the Device menu and switch on the slider next to "Allow Installation of Applications"
  • On a computer, search the internet for a YouTube installer.
  • Connect your tablet to your computer via USB. Then, copy and paste the YouTube APK you downloaded into your tablet's files.
  • Download ES File Explorer on your Kindle and use the app to open the YouTube APK and trigger installation of YouTube.
