How to Join a Telegram Channel PC or Mac

This wikiHow teaches you how to add a channel to your chats list on Telegram, using a desktop internet browser.

Things You Should Know

Go to https://web.telegram.org in a web browser. Click the "Search" bar on the top left.
Type "@" into the search, then enter the channel name.
Click a channel, and then click "+ JOIN".

Open the Telegram web app in your internet browser. Type web.telegram.org into the address bar, and hit ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard.
- If you're not automatically logged in to Telegram, you will have to provide your phone number, and verify your account via SMS.
The Search bar is located at the top of your chats list in the upper-left corner of your screen.

Type @ into the Search bar. All channel names start with an @ sign.
- If you skip this part, the channel you're looking for might get buried under other contacts and messages in your search results.

Type the channel's name following the "@" sign. Matching results will show up below the Search bar as you type.
- Consider adding the Telegram Channels Bot by searching @tchannelsbot. It will make channel suggestions, and help you explore new and interesting channels.
- You can also look up channels at online libraries such as reddit.com/r/TelegramChannels, and tlgrm.eu/channels.
Find the channel you're looking for in the search results on the left-hand side of your screen, and open the conversation.
This button is located at the bottom of the channel's chat conversation. It will add this channel to your chats list.
