Hide apps on your iPhone from others

When you lock an app, the information will be hidden in other locations on your iPhone, such as search and Siri. You'll just need your Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode to lock and unlock it. Here's how to lock an app on an iPhone running iOS 18 or newer.

To lock certain apps on your iPhone, upgrade to iOS 18 or newer. Tap and hold the app you want to lock, and then select Require Face ID/Touch ID/Passcode. Input your Face ID to verify.

  4. The app will be hidden. However, it may still appear in Screen Time, Battery Health, and your App Store history.
