Few things are better than starting the day with a delicious batch of pancakes. No matter how you like to eat them, Bisquick makes them easy. Follow these simple steps.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (240 grams) Original Bisquick® mix
  • 1 cup (240 milliliters) milk
  • 2 eggs
  1. If you are using an electric griddle, heat to 375°F (190°C). You know it's hot enough when a few drops of water sprinkled on it sizzle and disappear.

  3. Be careful not to over mix -- you still want lumps. They leaven the batter as it cooks resulting in fluffier pancakes. Over-mixing the batter will produce thin pancakes.
  4. Cook until edges are dry and bubbles start to form on top.
  5. Serve with butter and syrup or whipped cream and fresh berries.

  • Question
Can I make pancakes without eggs?
    Community Answer
    Community Answer
Yes. Three tbsp of aquafaba (its the liquid in a can of beans ... chickpeas are most recommended) works for each egg called for in the recipe. Or you can make flax eggs if you have ground flaxseed and water (you can simply google how to make that one).
  • Question
What if I have no Bisquick original mix? Could I make my own?
    Community Answer
    Community Answer
To make your own pancake mix, in a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
  • Question
Can I mix the batter the night before?
    Community Answer
    Community Answer
It best not to. If you do so, your pancakes won't rise well when you cook them. Let your batter stand for a few minutes and the batter will thicken, then cook your pancakes then and enjoy.

Tips

  • Heat the oven to 200°F (93.3°C) and put the pancakes in the oven on a cookie sheet lined with paper towels. This will allow you keep the pancakes warm if they are not served immediately.
  • Avoid over-whisking the pancakes or they will end up rubbery and dry once cooked.
  • To prepare a fun and vibrant recipe for kids, add a few drops of food coloring or pour in a tablespoon of colored sprinkles into the pancake batter.

Article SummaryX

To make Bisquick mix pancakes, start by preheating a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat and greasing it with cooking spray or shortening. While that's heating up, whisk together 2 cups of Bisquick, 1 cup of milk, and 2 eggs in a large bowl, leaving some lumps in the mixture so the pancakes are fluffier. Next, pour 1/4 cup of the batter onto the heated griddle or skillet. Once bubbles start to form at the top, flip the pancake over and cook it until it's golden on both sides. Finally, repeat with the rest of the batter. To learn how to serve Bisquick mix pancakes, scroll down!
