Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds medium to large shrimp, shells removed, tails on
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup Panko crumbs
  • A bowl of cocktail sauce and tarter sauce to dip your shrimp in (optional)
  • 10 lemon wedges
  • A pinch of salt and pepper

  4. Shake well.
  5. shrimp by cutting vertically down the back of the shrimp. Hold the shrimp firmly with one hand and slice halfway through the shrimp.

  8. Fry in hot oil at 350 °F (177 °C) until golden, about 3 minutes. You may have to turn the shrimp to evenly brown them.[6]

    Remove the tail and legs off from the shrimp and create some slits on the undersides using a knife. Then, bend the shrimp backwards by firmly holding onto it with both hands so that it can straighten. You can also use skewers pushed into the shrimp to keep them straight before cooking.
