Ingredients
- 1 cup unrefined extra virgin coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons of dried rosemary
- A saucepan
- Plastic reusable coffee filter
- A medium size bowl
- A jar to put the finished product in (mason jars work well)
Steps

Heat the coconut oil in the saucepan on low heat for 5 minutes. You can find this oil in a supermarket, online or at a health food store. virgin unrefined coconut oil is best, but you can use any other kind of 100% coconut oil. Coconut oil is great at nourishing your hair and scalp.

Stir the coconut oil in a saucepan until it has melted. Stir the coconut oil until all the coconut oil lumps have melted.Advertisement

Add in three tablespoons of dried rosemary. Add the dried rosemary 1 tablespoon at a time stirring consistently, until mixed in with the coconut oil.

Turn up the heat to medium, and stir the mixture until it begins to form bubbles or foam. Turning up the heat helps the rosemary release its natural oils into the coconut oil.

Reduce the heat from medium to low. This will help get rid of the foam and help to prevent the rosemary from burning.

Continue to heat the mixture on low heat for 15 minutes. This will ensure you get all of the scalp and hair growth benefits out of the rosemary.

Turn off the heat and remove the saucepan from heat. The oil should have a greenish tint to it, because rosemary has chlorophyll.

Let the mixture cool for 5-7 minutes before straining. Let the oil cool to prevent yourself from getting burned by the hot oil.

Use the plastic coffee filter to strain the oil into a bowl.

Pour the oil into your desired heat-resistant jar or bottle.

- Let the oil cool before applying it to your hair, or scalp.

Rub the rosemary hair oil into your scalp and down to the ends of your hair for 15 minutes. Place a dime size amount of the rosemary hair oil onto your fingertips. Rub your fingers over your scalp and down through your hair so that the oil gets on the ends of your hair.

Wash the oil out of your hair after 30-45 minutes. After rubbing the hair oil into your hair and scalp, wait for 30-45 minutes before washing your hair as you normally would.
