Makes 1/2 cup (136 g) of sauce
Steps
-
Mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and garlic powder in a bowl. Measure 1⁄2 cup (116 g) of mayonnaise into a bowl along with 1⁄4 cup (55 g) of tomato ketchup, and 1⁄2 teaspoon (0.1 g) of garlic powder.
- Use a spoon or whisk to mix the sauce until the garlic powder is incorporated.
-
Add the Worcestershire sauce and half of the black pepper. Stir in 1⁄4 teaspoon (1.2 ml) of Worcestershire sauce and 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) of the black pepper.
- Taste the sauce at this point and decide if the sauce is spicy enough. If you prefer it spicier, use the full amount of black pepper.

Stir in the remaining 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) of black pepper. Continue to mix the sauce until the pepper is completely incorporated.
- For the best flavor, use freshly ground pepper instead of purchased ground pepper.
-
Cover and refrigerate the sauce for at least 2 hours. Put a lid on the bowl or cover it with plastic wrap. Put the sauce in the fridge to chill for a few hours so the flavors develop.
- Dip fried chicken, wings, celery sticks, or carrot sticks in Zaxby's sauce.
- Store the sauce for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
-
Melt the butter in a bowl in the microwave. Put 1/2 cup (113 g) of butter into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat the butter until it's completely melted.
- If you don't have a microwave, you can melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Transfer the melted butter to a bowl.
-
Stir in the hot sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire, and granulated garlic. Add 1⁄2 cup (120 ml) of hot sauce, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of distilled white vinegar, 2 teaspoons (9.9 ml) of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 pinch of granulated garlic.
- Stir the sauce until it's smooth and combined.
-
Refrigerate the sauce in an airtight container. Use the sauce right away or cover the bowl with a lid. Refrigerate the sauce for up to 1 month.
- Try dipping wings, fried chicken, or carrot sticks into the wimpy sauce.
- If you refrigerate the sauce, stir the sauce to make it smooth before using it.
-
Put the horseradish, cream, mayo, mustard, juice, and sauce in a bowl. Measure 1/4 cup (60 g) of horseradish, 1/4 cup (57.5 g) of sour cream, 1 tablespoon (13 g) of mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon (5 g) of Dijon mustard, 2 teaspoons (9.9 ml) of lemon juice or white wine vinegar, and 1 teaspoon (4.9 ml) of Worcestershire sauce into a serving bowl.
-
Mix the sauce until it's smooth. Use a spoon or whisk to combine the sauce ingredients. The sauce will be pretty thick so you can use it for dipping or spreading.
-
Taste and serve the zestable sauce. Add salt and pepper according to your taste and use the zestable sauce immediately. If you want to store the sauce, cover it and put it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Serve the zestable sauce with fried chicken, barbecued beef, or roast beef.
