Uploading and Using GIFs in Discord
To use Discord's built-in GIF gallery, click GIF in the text field and select a GIF. To upload a GIF to Discord, drag and drop the GIF file into the text field. You can also copy and paste the GIF link in the chat.

Navigate to a server or DM. You can use the Discord desktop application or in a web browser at https://discord.com/.

Click GIF. This is on the right side of the text field, between the Gift Nitro and Stickers icon.[1]

Search for a GIF to use. On the GIFs homepage, you'll see popular categories. Click one to open the GIFs in that category, or enter keywords into the search bar at the top of the menu.

Click a GIF. This will send the GIF immediately.
