    Community Answer
For iPhone (iOS 12), no, you can’t block individual applications (or contact methods). You can only block phone numbers by adding them to Blocked Contacts. When adding someone to your Blocked Contacts, iPhone only allows you to choose from your Contacts list. Once you select a contact, all phone numbers you have entered under that person will be added to your Blocked Contacts. Other contact information, like emails, cannot be blocked. However, you do have the option of removing individual phone numbers from the Blocked Contacts list by clicking Edit.

There's no way other than persuading the person who blocked you to remove it, so you'll have to find a way to undo the cause of why you got blocked in the first place. However, the person who blocked you is under no obligation to forgive or unblock you; we all have the right to refuse contact with anybody.
