Why do you have to study the line up? It makes no sense.

Left handed batters are more inclined to hit fouls down the third base line, while right handers are more inclined to hit down the first base line. A good tip would be to look for patterns of 2, 3 or more of the same handed batters in a row, and then head for that area.

How can I not be scared of the ball? I was playing catch today with my dad and 19-year old sister. The ball hit me in the shoulder, the collarbone, the wrist, and the chest.

Keep practicing your catching. The better you become at catching the ball, the less you'll be hit by it. Meanwhile, if you're hit, flex or lightly rub the affected area.

Ages 12 and under need 11.5, while ages 12 and over need a 11.25 inch baseball glove. So, try 11.5. Check out Method 1 above for more details.

Generally speaking, no. Both right-handers and left-handers can be good hitters (or, for that matter, bad hitters).
