    The problem may be that your phone has poor speakers. You can try connecting it to your car's hi-fi system if you have Bluetooth or a cable.

    If the voice navigation is being drowned out by the streaming audio, then it’s a problem of getting the focus of the processor to put Waze on “top” priority. 1. Turn up the phone volume while in Waze or the audio app. 2. In newer iPhones, there’s a bar at the bottom of the screen to swipe or view open apps. You touch/bump up the bottom edge of the screen slightly with that bar as if you were going to view open apps or swipe right to switch apps But don’t swipe or continue to push it up. 3. Hold until the streaming music stops (a glitch) and restarts. The next voice directions will come through as loud as possible and the music will turn down slightly to be easier to hear over.
