QuestionWhen I look at my wikiHow contributions (via My Profile), it shows what I've done along with some numbers in brackets. What do they mean?RubyTop AnswererThose numbers indicate how many bytes were added or taken away from the page. Having bytes taken away isn't necessarily a bad thing, and having bytes added isn't necessarily a good thing (although it can be.) It depends on what was added or taken away.

QuestionHow do I start my own wikiHow article?Community AnswerThanks for your interest in writing a new article! We do require people to have some experience on wikiHow before writing articles, so I’d recommend you check out the Community Dashboard for the different ways you can help out and build up your experience on wikiHow. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions as you get started!

QuestionWhy are there so many gibberish questions in the Community Q&A section?Community AnswerThey're likely just young children playing on their parents' mobile devices. Others might be experimenting and testing the system's ins and outs to see what each button does.

QuestionWhat do you mean by "gibberish" questions in the Q&A section?BhoimusTop AnswererSome people post spam, nonsensical or blatantly off-topic and useless questions. These questions don't add to the quality of the site, so they are usually flagged and removed.

QuestionIs there a way to tell who asked a question or what email they used?Community AnswerMost contributors on wikiHow have no way of knowing who asked a question.

QuestionWhy put your email in the form in the question? Can people find out my email this way?Community AnswerNo, nobody will know your email. You put your email in the form so you can get a notification in your inbox when your question has been answered. The email with your answer will be sent automatically by a bot, not by a human. So nobody will be able to see the email unless you show it to them.

QuestionWhen I enter my email address while asking a question, will my email address be hidden or will it show to anyone on this site?Community AnswerWhen you enter your email address in the form while asking a question, nobody will be able to see what your email address is, unless you tell it to someone. Your email address is 100% hidden from others on wikiHow unless you have an account and you have it set so other users can email you.
