Staff AnswerwikiHow Staff EditorStaff AnswerIf you wash the item immediately after the spill, you may be able to wash the stain out. Blot up as much of the coffee as you can and rinse the spot under cool water. Then, rub a little detergent into the coffee spot before you toss it into the wash. Since heat can make the stain set, wash the item in cold water and make sure the stain is gone before you put it in the dryer. -
