How do I train a rabbit?
    Community Answer
    Community Answer
Get the rabbit to do what you want and reward it every time it does that. For example, to teach my rabbit to jump onto my chair, first I lifted him onto the chair and gave him treats. I kept repeating this until he did it on his own. This took about a week. Then, gradually lower the amount of treats and sometimes replace a treat with something enjoyable, like petting.

The rabbit enters the trap through the open door because it is attracted to the bait. Then it starts eating the bait once it's inside the trap and the door closes, trapping the rabbit inside.

When making the snare, don't bend the wire to make a loop. Use a brass eyelet (this is recommended with all rabbit snares), and a few inches from the eyelet, simply add a 10 mm piece of copper tubing larger than the eyelet being used for the loop of the snare. Crimp the stop in place so that it is solid. This will stop the snare fully closing, but still hold the rabbit in place.
