Make sure your computer is connected to the internet, as this will allow it to search for and download the most up-to-date updates possible. If it's already connected to the internet, it's possible you're already up-to-date, and you don't need any further updates. Windows does sometimes install updates automatically, depending on your settings, so this could be the reason for no updates being found.
  • Question
How can I reset a laptop to orignal settings? Alt Cont Del isn't working.
    Community Answer
    Community Answer
The command Ctrl+Alt+Del is only intended to reboot your machine (reload the operating system with your current settings). To reset your computer to original settings you will need to perform a 'factory reset' which will re-format your hard drive and re-install the operating system on your machine. This action is usually available from your main Windows 'Settings' menu, although it might be named differently depending on your version of Windows ('Factory Rest', 'System Reset', 'Restore Windows', and even 'Recover Windows from Disk' etc.) Your best best it to search your Windows Settings menu or Windows Help menu for 'factory reset' and get instructions from there.
