  1. It’s the blue chat bubble icon with a white lightning bolt on your home screen (or in the app drawer, if you’re using Android).
    • If it’s your first time using Messenger, you’ll be prompted to sign in. Use the same username and password that you use to sign in to Facebook.
    • Since there's no way to automatically download new images like there is with Whatsapp, you'll have to manually save all the pictures you want.

    • Under the Media tab, you'll see all the images that have been sent in the chat.
  4. The image will take up the screen.

  • If you accidentally tapped No when you were prompted if Messenger could access your files and media, you can change the permissions in Settings > Apps (Android Only) > Messenger. If you have an iPhone, you'll find the permissions in Settings > Messenger > Photos.
