Quick Steps to See Your App Count

  1. Navigate to Settings > General > About.
  2. Look for the line that says "Applications" in the second table.
  3. Check the number to the right, which is the number of third-party apps on your phone.

  1. Do this by tapping the icon with gray cogs on your home screen.
    • It may be in a folder labeled “Utilities.”

  3. This will display a table with various information about your phone.
  4. The number displayed to the right of it shows how many third party apps are on your iPhone.
    • It does not include any default iPhone apps or webpage links you saved to your screen.

  1. This is the app with gray cogs located on your home screen.
    • If you don't see it, check in a folder labeled "Utilities."
  2. You'll find it in the third set of options.
  3. This will display apps that take up the most storage on your phone in descending order.
  4. This will take you to a screen where you can view its version and documents & data size.
  5. You may choose to do this on apps with a large documents & data size to make space on your phone.
    • Note that you will not be able to recover information stored in an app once it is deleted.
    • You won't be able to delete some stock apps like Photos & Camera, but at least you'll know if it's time to do some cleaning.

Tips

  • On the most current versions of the iPhone, swipe all the way to the right from the Home screen to access the App Library. Swipe down on that screen to open an alphabetical list of all the apps you have installed on your phone. This is a great way to visualize everything you have on the device.[1]
  • If you want to see all apps you've ever owned, go to the App Store > Updates > Purchased. A list will be displayed.
