Meaning of Sujood
Sujood (or sujud) is the act of prostrating in the direction of the Qibla. To prostrate, Muslims say “Allahu Akbar” (“God is most great”) and kneel towards the ground until the nose, forehead, knees, palms, and toes touch the ground. Then they say “Subhana Rabbiyal A’la” (“Glory to Allah, the most high”) three times.
