Under the Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Creative Commons License, specific elements of wikiHow's article text content is free to modify, republish and share in a certain format under limited specific circumstances as outlined in the license and on our Attribution page.

The licensed article text includes only the title and the content present in the text editor when a person clicks "edit" on an article page, provided it was not created by wikiHow staff. This encompasses non-staff content in the introduction, "things you should know," steps, tips, and warnings sections. It does not include any content produced by wikiHow staff, wikitext references to images, videos, or related wikiHow articles.
