  1. It is in the top-right corner of your profile. Before you can add music on BeReal, you'll need to link Spotify or Apple Music to the app.
  2. Select Audio from the available options.

  3. BeReal currently supports both Spotify and Apple Music.[1] Select the music streaming service you use, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your account.
    • Once your music streaming service is linked, you can share the song you are currently listening to the next time you post your BeReal.
    • If you forget to link your accounts before taking your BeReal photos, you can skip straight to this step by tapping the music note icon when creating a post.

  1. To add music to your BeReal, listen to music as you typically would. Be sure to listen to the song on the same Android or iPhone you will be using to post your BeReal.
  2. Open the BeReal notification and take your photo. With your favorite music still playing in the background, tap the notification to open BeReal and snap your photos.
  3. Once you take your BeReal, you will see the song atop the photos. Tap the music note icon to select a privacy level, which will then be saved for future posts:
    • Shared - This default setting indicates that the music will be visible to your friends.
      • As long as your music is visible to others, they are free to screenshot your post and share it with others.
    • Private - The song will only be visible to you.
    • Disabled - BeReal will not display the song you are listening to.
  4. With your music now incorporated into your BeReal, you can post it to share your music with your friends!
    • You can always delete a post on BeReal if you are no longer comfortable sharing it.
