If you want to add and save pins on Google Maps, you'll need to log into your Google account. If you don't, you can only drop one pin at a time. All your saved pins can be found in the Maps menu. Here's how to add a pin on Google Maps on a PC or Mac.

Placing Pins on Google Maps

Sign into Google Maps in a web browser to save your dropped pins. Click an established landmark or location to mark it as a pin, or long-click an unestablished location. Click Save in the left panel to save the pin.

  1. Go to https://maps.google.com in a web browser. If you’re not already signed in to your Google account, sign in now by clicking Sign in at the top-right corner of the screen.
    • If you don't sign into a Google account, you'll only be able to place one pin per session; you won't be able to save pins for future use.
    • If you're a business owner, you can add your business using a Business Profile.[1]
  2. You can enter a nearby landmark and click and drag your screen to find the location.
    • If you enter a specific address into the search bar, a pin will be created there automatically.

  3. If you click an established landmark, store, or other location, a pop-up menu will open on the left, and the dot will turn into a pin.
    • If you want to pin a spot with no established locations, such as an empty road, long-press it. However, you'll only see the option to route there.
  4. You can find this in the Overview tab, underneath the location's picture (if available).
    • To find your saved pins, click in the top-left corner. Click Saved.
    • If you want to pin frequent routes, you'll need to use the Google Maps mobile app.[2]
