The Wall of Flesh is the last boss you will meet before hardmode begins. In this article we will learn how to beat the Wall of Flesh in Terraria, and tips for how to make it easier to accomplish.

Download Article

Make sure you have Crimson/Shadow Armor or Molten Armor to give you the best current defense, or jungle/Necro/Bee Armor if you are into mage/ranger/summoner build, Meteor Armor makes you able to use Space Gun without any mana costs.
Get the Night's Edge or Flamarang to fend off the Hungrys. Get the Minishark or The Bee's Knees for a range fight so you can dodge more easily. For magic users, you can get Demon Scythe, Water Bolt or space gun. Beenades is a no-brainer weapon against the World of Flesh which kills it in a matter of seconds.

Get at least 5 Health Potion(Or Honeyfin if you do fish in the honey), Obsidian Skin Potion so that you're immune to lava, whole stack of mana potions for mage and any other potions possible that boost your stats(Ironskin Potion, Swiftness Potion, food, ale etc).
Dig down and put some ropes up and down the hole so you can go down and up easily.
Building a bridge is recommended since you'll have a better chance of not taking damage in lava
The Voodoo Demon drops the Guide Voodoo Doll which summons the Wall of Flesh.
Before you do this, drink some potions that gives you buffs like the Ironskin Potion for some extra defense and Obsidian Skin potion if there are some lava pools around.
Don't get to close you could take damage.
Note that your world is now in hard-mode, which contains harder enemies and fancier items.

It will 100% drop a Pwnhammer which will be used to break Demon/Crimson Altar to generate Hardmode ores, and one of the following 7: Breaker Blade which is slow but deals high melee damage, Clockwork Assault Rifle which is a ranged weapon that shoots 3 bullet at once, Laser Rifle which is a magic weapon that functions identical as Space gun but deals more damage, Ranger Emblem, Sorcerer Emblem, Warrior Emblem or Summoner Emblem which boosts a certain damage stat.

I killed the Wall of Flesh, but I got no drops, why is that?

You need to go to the exact location where the Wall of Flesh was defeated to get the loot. If you have logged out without taking the loot, the loot will disappear and you will have to defeat the Wall again.

To get Obsidian Skin Potions easily, make a lava farm for Obsidian. If you don’t want to do this, then most of the materials (except for Water Leaf) should be found in the Underworld. Water Leaf can be found in the jungle.

The Wall of Flesh shoots laser out of its eye that passes through walls and has the Hungry to guard the wall of flesh so strike the hungry first so you could fight the Wall of Flesh. Note that the Hungry's detach after you have damaged one third of their health.

The Wall of Flesh moves from right to left on the right side of the world and vice versa, so remember this to actually have the maxed out time possible.
