VNC enables you to remotely access and control your devices from internal and external networks. It's very helpful when you want to remotely administer a computer. However, there are a few times when you would like to prevent somebody from accessing your computer and/or monitor what you are doing. Luckily, you can block VNC.
Steps
-
Open Windows Firewall with Advance Security.
-
Click on Inbound Rules.Advertisement
-
Click on New Rule.
-
Under Rule Type, select Ports. Click on Next.
-
Select TCP. Then enter the ports used by your VNC. Default is 5900 and 5800.
-
Select Block Connection. Hit Next all the way to the end of the wizard.
