EOS Fitness is a popular gym located on the South and West Coast, offering a wide variety of amenities for beginners and gym enthusiasts. However, sometimes you need to cancel your membership. How do you get out of your contract, though? In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know to cancel your EOS fitness membership.

Canceling Your EOS Gym Membership

You can cancel an EOS Basic, Blue, or Black membership at any time with a 30-day notice. Visit your local EOS and ask a staff member to cancel or freeze your account. If you’re in AZ, CA, or NV, you can complete an online form to cancel your membership.

  1. If you’re located on the West Coast, you’re in luck. You can request to cancel your membership online using EOS’s Membership Cancellation Form. You’ll need to sign into your EOS account and provide all the necessary details to close the account.[1]
    • EOS memberships can be canceled at any time with a 30-day notice. The company offers its members a month-to-month contract.[2]
    • You cannot cancel your membership online if you’re an EOS member in Florida, Texas, or Utah.
    • You can also visit your local EOS location to cancel your membership in person if you’d like.
  2. When you arrive at your local EOS, pop over to the check-in area to speak with a staff member. Let them know that you’d like to cancel your membership. You may be asked for your name, contact details, and membership number. Sign any cancellation forms and return any access items to terminate your account if necessary.[3]
    • To cancel your membership, all memberships must be in good standing, meaning no past dues are owed. If you owe money, you’re required to pay outstanding fees first.
    • Canceling in person is the only option for EOS members in Florida, Texas, or Utah.

What happens if you miss a payment?

  1. While there’s nothing about missed payments on EOS’ website, most gyms restrict members' access to amenities or even freeze their accounts. Additionally, some gyms charge late fees while others send your account to collections for outstanding dues. If you have an overdue payment, this may damage your credit score. To avoid this, contact your local EOS if you’re worried about missing a payment.
    • If you’re unable to pay your membership, temporarily freeze your account until you’re in good standing. It’s only $5 per month for up to 3 months. You'll still be charged if your annual fee is due during your freeze.[7]

  1. EOS Fitness has a Right of Rescission Policy that allows all new members to cancel their membership within 3 days of signing up for a full refund. This excludes weekends and holidays.[8]
    • So, if you sign up on a Monday, you have until Wednesday to receive a full refund for your membership.
    • If you’re new to EOS, you can test the gym with their 7-day free trial. Individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a local ID.
    • Former members can sign up for a free 7-day trial if their previous membership has been canceled for a year.
  2. Whether it be a cross-country move, a severe injury, or the loss of a loved one, you can’t always predict what’s going to happen in life. In these scenarios, you may be eligible for a refund from EOS with written proof to customercare@abcfitness.com or your local EOS.
    • If you relocate more than 25 miles from an EOS Fitness, a cancellation charge between $50 and $100 may be added.
