  3. There are lots of third-party websites that allow you to download Instagram videos. The websites that are available may change over time. However, they all work very similarly. Open Google in a web browser and search "Instagram video downloader." Click or tap one of the video downloader websites to open it in your web browser. Websites that are currently available include the following:
  4. Most download websites have a bar in the center of the screen that says "Paste link here" or something similar. To paste a video on a mobile phone, tap and hold the bar in the center of the screen. Then tap Paste. To paste a video on a computer, click the bar and then right-click the cursor. Click Paste.
    • Some websites have a Paste button in the bar that you can click or tap to automatically paste the URL.
  5. It's generally to the right of the bar that you used to paste the video URL. It may take a few minutes to upload and process the video.
  6. Once the video uploads and is processed, you should see the video and have an option to download it. Click or tap the Download option to download the video. On a mobile device, you can find your downloaded videos in your Gallery or Photos app. On a computer, you can find your downloaded videos in the Downloads folder.
    • Some websites may give you the option to download the video in different formats or video resolutions.

  1. Log in to Instagram via the app or https://www.instagram.com in a web browser. You can find a video in your feed or you can click or tap the magnifying glass/search icon and search for the name of a creator. Tap their profile or username to view their profile. Then tap the video you want to download.
  2. Tap the speaker icon next to the video to make sure the sound is on. You may want to play the video once so that you see the "Reply" button over the video after it finishes playing.
  3. The way you screen record is slightly different from one device to the next. Use one of the following steps to screen-record the video:
    • Android: Swipe down from the top of the screen once to display the Notifications panel. Swipe down again to display the Quick Settings menu. Scroll left and right until you see the Screen Record icon. Tap it. Select "Media" (or "Media and mic" if you want to talk over it). Then tap Start recording.
    • iPhone & iPad: Swipe down from the upper-right corner to display the Control Center. Tap the icon that resembles a dot inside a circle to start screen-recording. Then exit the Control Center.[2]
    • Windows: Press Windows key + G to open the Game Bar. Click the record button in the Capture windows. It has an icon that resembles a dot. If you don't see the Capture window, click the icon that resembles a camera in the Game Bar.[3]
    • Mac: Open Quick Time Player and click File followed by New Screen Recording. Click the arrow icon next to the red Record button and select Internal mic (Mac does not allow you to record media audio by itself). Click the red record button and then click anywhere to record your entire screen, or click and drag over the video to just record the video.[4]
    • Chromebook: Press Shift + Ctrl + Show Windows (which resembles three layered windows). Select the icon that resembles a square with a plus sign to record a partial screen. Click the Gear icon at the bottom and select Device audio. Click and drag over the video and then select Record video from the drop-down menu.
  4. Once you are screen recording, return to your Instagram and play the video you want to record. Allow the video to play until it is finished.
  5. On nearly all devices, you can stop screen recording by clicking or tapping the icon that resembles a square on the screen. This will save the screen recording to your device.
    • On Android, you can find your screen recordings in the Gallery under the Screenshots folder.
    • On iPhone and iPad, you can find your screen recordings in the Photos app.
    • On Windows, you can find your screen recordings in the Videos folder under Screen Recordings.
    • On Mac, you will be asked where you want to save the screen recording.
    • On Chromebook, your screen recordings get saved to your Downloads folder by default.
