Step-by-step guide to easily evolve your Charcadet
PDF download Download Article

Version exclusives are nothing new to Pokémon, and this tradition continues with Charcadet and its evolutions. In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, Charcadet can evolve into two different Pokemon depending on which version you have—Armarouge if you have Scarlet, and Ceruledge if you have Violet. Evolving Charcadet isn't difficult, but does take a few extra steps as you need to acquire an item before you can evolve it. In this guide we'll teach you how to evolve Charcadet into Armarouge or Ceruledge.

Things You Should Know

  • You can catch Charcadet all over Paldea, except for the northern regions.
  • In order to evolve Charcadet, you need to get the Auspicious Armor in Pokémon Scarlet or the Malicious Armor in Pokémon Violet.
  • To get the evolution items, you must trade an NPC in Zapapico City 10 Bronzor Fragments (Pokemon Scarlet) or 10 Sinistea Chips (Pokemon Violet).
  1. Charcadet can be caught in most of southern, eastern, and western Paldea.[1] You can find Charcadet in the following areas:
    • South Province: Area Three, Area Four, Area Five
    • East Province: Area One, Area Two, Area Three, Tagtree Thicket
    • West Province: Area One, Area Two, Area Three, Asado Desert
  2. An NPC in Zapapico (a man in Pokemon Scarlet or a woman in Pokemon Violet) will trade an item you can use to evolve Charcadet.

  3. This NPC will trade you an item for either 10 Bronzor Fragments in Pokemon Scarlet[2] or 10 Sinistea Chips in Pokemon Violet[3] .
  4. You can get these items by defeating certain Pokemon:
    • Bronzor Fragments: Defeat Bronzor (found in South Province Area Two, Area Three, Area Four and Area Five, East Province Area Two, and West Province Area One and Area Two) or Bronzong (South Province Area Six and North Province Area Two, Casseroya Lake, Dalizapa Passage or Glaseado Mountain)
    • Sinistea Chips: Defeat Sinistea (found in South Province Area Six or East Province Area Three) or Polteageist (only found in 4- and 5-star Tera Raid Battles)
  5. In Pokemon Scarlet you'll get the Auspicious Armor and in Pokemon Violet you'll get the Malicious Armor.
    • You can trade with this NPC multiple times as long as you have enough Bronzor Fragments or Sinistea Chips.
  6. In Pokémon Scarlet, Charcadet will evolve into Armarouge, and in Pokemon Violet it will evolve into Ceruledge.
    • If you want to get an Armarouge in Pokemon Violet or a Ceruledge in Pokemon Scarlet, you'll need to trade with a friend. Your friend can either trade you the evolved Armaroute or Ceruledge, or trade you a Pokemon holding the Auspicious Armor or Malicious Armor.
