Knowing your public transit options before going out can make your commute much easier. Here's how to get bus directions on Google Maps using your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

- Make sure you have location services turned on for this app.

Tap the bus icon. This is usually next to the car and walking icon. You'll find this below the start and end location.
- A list of bus routes will load at the bottom of the screen.

Select a bus route. If you have multiple routes available, tap it to select it.
- You can see the bus number, estimated time of arrival, estimated duration, and fees.

Tap Start. This will begin your navigation. If you aren't already at the nearest bus stop, start walking now.
- You can see your route at the bottom half of your screen. To expand it, drag the top of the menu upwards.

Go to https://maps.google.com/ in a web browser. If you want to see your saved locations and pins, log into your Google account.
You can type an address or name in the field at the top, or click and drag the map around to manually find a location. When you do, click it.
