Go to https://www.spotify.com/premium/ in your web browser. This will open the Spotify Premium page. Make sure you log in to the correct account if you already have one set up.
- If you don't already have a Spotify account, go ahead and create one at https://spotify.com/signup.
- You can’t buy Spotify Premium through the app at this time.

Click the GET STARTED button under the ad for your 2-month free trial. It’s a black, oval button near the top of the page.
- If you've already used up your free trial, you can’t sign up for another one. Instead, click VIEW PLANS to see the details of the various Premium plans and upgrade your account.

Pick which plan you’d like to subscribe to. There are 4 types of Spotify Premium plans. They all provide ad-free music listening, offline streaming, and on-demand playback. However, there are a couple of different features depending on the subscription type, and they’re all different prices.[1]
- Individual ($9.99/month) - Use Spotify Premium with 1 account and get ad-free listening, offline streaming, and on-demand playback.
- Duo ($12.99/month) - Allows you to link Spotify Premium to 2 accounts and offers the same features as the Individual plan.
- Family ($15.99/month) - Connect up to 6 accounts to Spotify Premium and also get the ability to block explicit music and access Spotify Kids.
- Student ($4.99/month) - This plan is for students enrolled in an accredited college or university. It also comes with a Hulu (with ads) plan and a free SHOWTIME subscription.

Select a payment option. From the dropdown list, select how you'd like to pay. Depending on your region, your payment options may change. However, most regions will allow you to pay with a debit card, credit card, or PayPal.

Enter your payment information. In the labeled fields, type in your card’s number, expiration date, security code, and your postal code.
- If you're using PayPal, click START MY SPOTIFY PREMIUM. You'll then be prompted to sign in and authorize Spotify to take payments.
