Everything you need to know about StockX’s delivery process
PDF download Download Article

StockX receives your item from the Seller, verifies it, and ships it to you, which means that StockX standard delivery typically takes between 7 and 12 business days. Items purchased shortly after their release day may take longer to ship because Sellers are granted additional time to accommodate shipping from the original retailer. Keep reading to learn all about StockX shipping, whether you’re a Buyer who wants to know when your package will be delivered or a Seller wondering how the process works.

Things You Should Know

  • StockX standard delivery takes 7 to 12 business days. Xpress orders take 3 business days to deliver.
  • Shippers typically have 2 business days to ship their item to the StockX Verification Center, but they might have up to 5 days if the item is newly released.
  • Contact StockX Customer Support if you haven’t received your item within the delivery window.

How long does StockX take to ship?

  1. This 7 to 12-day shipping time frame takes into account the time it takes for the Seller to ship the item and the time the item spends in StockX’s Verification Centers.[1] The amount of time Sellers take to ship your item might vary between 2 to 5 days.[2]
    • Items purchased on or after the day they’re released may take longer because Sellers are granted additional time to accommodate shipping from the original retailer. If this happens, an estimated delivery window will appear before you confirm your purchase.
    • StockX marketplace deals with high-value and rare products and wants to ensure that the items you purchase on their site meet their internal quality standards.
  2. If you match a Seller’s Ask price for an Express Ship item (indicated by a rocket icon next to the product listing), your item will be shipped immediately. Xpress Ship orders will be delivered to you within 3 business days.[3]
    • The Xpress Ship option is currently limited to the United States and is currently only available for sneakers.[4]
    • Xpress Ship items have a $24.95 shipping fee—$10 more than the standard shipping rate.
    • New Sellers are not currently being accepted into the Xpress Ship program.

StockX Shipping Process for Buyers

  1. Once you purchase an item, the Seller packages the item and drops it off for delivery within 2 days. However, Sellers can request 1 additional day to ship for any order, and StockX can also provide additional business days to ship various new release items at their discretion.[5]
    • The day you make your purchase doesn’t count as a full business day.
    • New release items sold on or shortly after their release date can have up to 5 total business days to ship: 3 for new release shoes and streetwear and 5 for Supreme items.[6]
    • The Seller you buy from may be in a different time zone from you, meaning the exact time they have to ship your order depends on their location at the time of the sale.
    • If a Seller doesn’t ship by their deadline, StockX will attempt to link you to a new Seller. If they’re unable to find a new Seller, you will be issued a full and complete refund to your original payment method.
  2. If you ordered a standard item, expect to receive email notifications from Stock X when your purchase is completed. You’ll also get a notification when:[7]
    • The Seller has shipped your item to the Verification Center.
    • Your item has been successfully verified and shipped from the Verification Center.
    • Your item has been delivered to you.
    • You can also check the status of your order by signing into the StockX website and clicking My Account > Buying.
  3. Contact StockX Customer Support if you haven’t received your item. If it’s been more than 3 days since you’ve seen a tracking update or your item is still in transit on the estimated delivery date, contact StockX Customer Support to file a claim. Include the type of issue (Buying), the sub-type (Current Order or Purchase), and as much information as possible about the situation.[8]
    • If there’s an issue with your item in transit, StockX will launch an investigation with the delivery carrier, which may take up to 10 business days from the start of the investigation.
    • If your tracking information says your package was delivered but you haven’t received it, check with your neighbors or the front desk of your building. If you’re still unable to find your package, contact StockX so they can start an investigation with the carrier.

StockX Shipping Process for Sellers

  1. When a Buyer purchases your item on StockX, you’ll receive an email with the deadline you need to ship the item. You can also see your deadline on the My Account > Selling > Pending page.[9]
    • Typically, as a Seller, you have 2 business days to ship your item. However, there may be exceptions for new-release products.
    • If you need more time, you can request one 24-hour extension before the deadline. On the StockX website go to Selling > Pending, find the order, and click “Extend” in the “Ship By” column. You’ll receive an automatic “Approved” or “Denied” response.[10]
    • If you miss your shipping window, StockX will send you alerts. If you still don’t ship after receiving their alerts, they’ll cancel your sale and you may be subject to a penalty.[11]
  2. On the My Account > Selling > Pending page, access your shipping label and invoice and print both of them out.[12] Use a shipping box that is no more than 5 cm larger on any side than the box of the item you’re shipping. Place bubble wrap or shipping paper inside around the edges of the item’s box.[13]
    • If you’re using an old box, make sure you remove any old labels, stickers, and barcodes from the box.[14]
    • Remove any HAZMAT and warning labels from the outside of the box you use—StockX cannot legally accept any item with these labels still attached.[15]
  3. Put the invoice inside the box with your item so that the StockX staff can verify the item. Tape all 4 edges of the shipping label to the outside of the box so it can be scanned when you drop it off at the shipping location.[16]
    • Seal the box across all the seams on the top and bottom of the box using packing tape (not masking tape, cellophane tape, duct tape, string, or paper).[17]
    • If you sell a Funko Pop!, place the Funko Pop! box in a snug-fitting plastic box or case before you place it into a shipping box. Any damage to your box from shipping will void your sale.[18]
  4. After you have properly packaged and sealed your item, deliver your box to the shipping carrier stated in the initial deadline email StockX sent when your item was bought. You can also view this information on the My Account > Selling > Pending page of the StockX website.[19]
