  • MREs are great for emergency purposes, camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
  • MRE's can be found in military surplus stores or on eBay. However, be careful and alert while browsing eBay; a good price for a case should be about $50 to $60 (USD).
  • The items usually contained in a MRE are the main entrée, side dish, crackers, peanut butter, cheese spread, dessert, instant coffee, matches, heater, and a spoon.
