    Community Answer

With long curly hair, it is necessary to use leave-in conditioners in the bottom third of your hair. Only brush this section as well, as brushing the rest draws out all of the curl and leaves it looking flat. You want the definition. Use a shampoo and conditioner with either sea mineral oils or whipped egg whites, as these make your hair seem weightless.

Ask her to wash her hair thoroughly. If that doesn't work, then try using shampoos with a thinner volume. Some shampoos are super thick and they are not the best choice. Also, try using the strongest water setting on the shower rose, to apply water pressure to the hair.

It may sound silly, but you can use a clean pair of underwear as a cap. Put the waistband around first, then tuck into the waistband any of the extra cloth from around the leg holes. A plus is that cotton panties helps blot up excess water after washing your hair, and a fresh pair will also keep your scalp warm during the night.
