PDF download Download Article

Are you trying to recover deleted Snapchat photos or videos? You can request a data download from Snapchat directly. You'll just need to submit an official request through the Snapchat app. After doing so, Snapchat will send you a file containing your account's data, including the Snaps stored in your Memories. This wikiHow will show you how to get your Snapchat memories back on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.

Things You Should Know

  • Open Snapchat. Go to your profile → "Settings" → "My Data".
  • Toggle on "Memories" download. Enter an email address to receive the data. Tap "Submit Request".
  • Snapchat will typically send you the data file within 24 hours to the specified email.

There are two methods to recover a deleted Snapchat account. The first option involves reactivating the account within 30 days of deactivation. To do this, navigate to Snapchat settings, locate the reactivation option, and follow the prompts to reactivate the account. If the account has been permanently deleted after the 30-day window, the second option is to contact Snapchat for assistance. Visit snapchat.com/support, select the "Contact Us" button, and choose either "I can't access my account" or "I think my account was compromised." Then, submit an appeal detailing the situation and request assistance from Snapchat support.
