Get early access to concerts from your favorite artists

Ticketmaster's Verified Fan program helps artists get tickets into the hands of their most dedicated fans, instead of scalpers or resellers. If you are a passionate fan of an artist currently on tour, you can register as a Verified Fan for that tour and secure yourself a better (although not guaranteed) chance to get tickets. Concertgoers must register as a Verified Fan for each individual tour they are interested in attending, but the steps are quite easy. Follow along as this wikiHow article teaches you how to become a Verified Fan on Ticketmaster.

Things You Should Know

  • Find Verified Fan registration links on the Ticketmaster Twitter account, or in newsletters from Ticketmaster and your favorite artists.
  • Register as a Verified Fan using your Ticketmaster account and await a confirmation email.
  • A lottery process will determine which Verified Fans receive unique access codes, and which will be put on a waitlist.
  1. Follow the Ticketmaster Twitter account. Registration links for a tour's Verified Fan page are posted regularly to Ticketmaster's Twitter account.
    • This is the best place to find these links, although you may also receive them in your email inbox if you subscribe to a newsletter from Ticketmaster or a favorite artist.
    • While you'll need a Twitter account to follow Ticketmaster on Twitter, you don't need an account to view Ticketmaster's tweets.
  2. Look for it in an email or Tweet.
    • The registration link for each tour is unique, even if the tours are from the same artist.
    • Although Ticketmaster continues to expand its Verified Fan program, not every artist or tour supports Verified Fans at this time. If you can't find a registration link for a concert you hope to attend, it may not be a part of the program.

  3. Enter your login info, or create an account if you have not yet already.
  4. After signing in, you will be redirected to the Verified Fan page, where you will confirm your registration of both your email and your phone number.
    • As part of the registration process, you will also identify which show(s) you are interested in attending.
      • In certain cases, not every tour date will be available for registration as part of the Verified Fan program.
    • You will receive a confirmation email as soon as you complete your registration.
  5. As you wait, Ticketmaster will carry out a verification process, using a lottery system to determine which Verified Fans will receive a unique access code, and which ones will be put on the waitlist.
    • If demand does not outweigh supply for your concert, there will be no need for a waitlist and you will be given equal access to the Verified Fan presale.
      • If applicable, a lottery will determine which users get off the waitlist and receive an access code.
    • Access codes are tied to your account, so you cannot sell or give away your code to another user.
  6. Once you receive your access code, you can use it to buy tickets to the event. Even with the code, tickets are made available on a first-come, first-serve basis. You may have to act quick to secure your tickets as a Verified Fan!
