How to Cancel Your AT&T Wireless Service

• Be sure you have your wireless account number and/or phone number(s) handy.
• Call 800-331-0500, choose your language, and say "cancel service" when prompted.
• You can also cancel your service online, by selecting the "Chat" option on the "Contact Us" page if it's available.

   Call 800-331-0500 from any phone. If you're calling from an AT&T Wireless phone, you can simply dial 611.

   • Alternatively, you can visit an AT&T Wireless store or kiosk.
   • You can also call this number to suspend your wireless account during military service.

   Choose the language in which you'd like to proceed. English and Spanish are available on the electronic system.

   Say "Cancel service" when prompted. This will direct you to the correct line so a representative can help you.

   Say your AT&T Wireless account or phone number. You need either of these to proceed.

   • If you live in Illinois or New York and signed up for service online, you might be able to cancel your wireless service online at https://att.com/myatt.

   What do you need to cancel? Get your AT&T account number or phone number.

   What is an early termination fee? An early termination fee (ETF) may apply if you cancel before your service agreement ends. You won't have an ETF if you have an installment plan, and will instead pay off the remaining balance of the installment plan.

   • To estimate your ETF, go to your account overview and go to My devices > Manage device > Device info. You will have an ETF if you sign a contract for 1-2 years and cancel after having service for over 14 days for a personal account or 30 days for a business account.
   • You won't have an ETF if you're on an installment plan or Equipment Installed Plan.
