Find the email address linked to your Facebook account using the mobile app or a browser

Trying to find the email address that’s linked to your Facebook account? You can easily do so using the mobile app for iPhone or Android, or on the Facebook website. If you’re trying to check your old Facebook email address, unfortunately that service has been discontinued. However, we’ll explain how to access your Facebook Business inbox if you have a Facebook Page.

Things You Should Know

  • You can find any email addresses linked to your Facebook account under Settings & privacy > Settings > Meta Accounts Center > Personal details > Contact Info.
  • Facebook used to offer email addresses to all users, but that service was shut down in 2014.

  1. Tap the icon that looks like a white lowercase f on a blue background. If you haven’t already logged in, do so now.
  2. If you’re using the iPhone app, this is at the bottom right side of the screen. On an Android, it’s at the top right side.

  3. It’s underneath the All shortcuts section of the Menu.
  4. It’s the first option in the Settings & privacy menu.
  5. You’ll see this option at the top of the Settings & privacy screen.
  6. Tap this option under the Account settings header.
  7. In the Personal details screen, select Contact Info. This will open a new screen with any email addresses and phone numbers associated with your Facebook account.
    • Tap on any of the email addresses in the list to delete it or add it to another account.
    • Tap the Add new contact button at the bottom of the screen if you want to add a new email address or phone number.
  8. You can also find your email address in the web version of Facebook. Click your profile picture in the top right corner of the screen, then go to Settings & privacy > Settings. From there:
    • Click Meta Accounts Center in the Settings pane on the left side of the screen.
    • Select Personal details under the Account settings header on the left side of the page.
    • Click Contact Info in the Personal details menu. You’ll be able to see and edit any email addresses associated with your account.

  1. Facebook used to offer an @facebook.com email address to all users, but that feature was shut down in 2014.[1] As of 2016, Facebook no longer forwards messages sent to old Facebook email addresses.
  2. If you have a Facebook page with messaging enabled, you can manage your messages by downloading the Meta Business Suite app and logging in with the Facebook account associated with your page.
    • You can also view and respond to your messages on the web by going to https://business.facebook.com/messages/ and logging in with the account associated with your page.
    • You’ll be able to view and respond to messages sent via Facebook Messenger, Instagram, or comments on your Facebook or Instagram posts.
    • This isn’t technically email, but it offers some similar features, such as the ability to send pre-set replies, sort your messages using filters, and add labels to messages.
