Yes, it is possible to download Facebook videos to watch offline. You can download almost any video (except for ads or videos from accounts set to "private.") It can be a bit tricky to figure out on your own, but we’re here to help! This wikiHow article will teach you two reliable ways to download Facebook videos to your computer, phone, or tablet.

There are many web-based applications online that allow you to download almost any Facebook video for free. Google search "Facebook video downloader" to find one.
Paste a Facebook video URL into a separate browser tab and change "www" to "mbasic". Play the video and right-click it. Click the option to save the video.
Play one of your own videos on your profile page. Click the icon with three dots, and click Download Video.

Go to the Facebook video you want to download. There are many web-based applications that allow you to download almost any Facebook video. All you need is a video URL.
- You can use FDownloader on your computer, Android, iPhone, or iPad.
- If you don't want to use an online downloader (or if FDownloader isn't working), you can still download the video using the MBasic version of Facebook]] in a web browser.

Copy the video's address. Use one of the following videos to do so:
- On a computer: Click the video to start playing it, highlight the URL at the top of your browser, and then press Control + C (PC) or Command + C (Mac).
- Phone or tablet: Tap Share below the video and choose Copy Link from the menu.

Go to https://fdownloader.net. If you're using an iPhone or iPad, you'll need to use Safari to download the video—other browsers won't work properly.^{[1]

- Other web-based applicaitons you can use include, https://fdown.net/ and https://publer.io/tools/facebook-video-downloader.
- Be careful which websites you use. According to cyber security expert Stan Kats, many of these video download websites may contain malicious software downloads and malware. Make sure you have a good antivirus program. Don't click on any links or advertisements on the site.
To paste the URL, right-click (or long-tap on a phone or tablet) the field that says, "Enter the Facebook video link here" and select Paste.
FDownloader will display the available video quality options.

Click or tap Download next to your preferred quality. This starts the download. Once the download is complete, you'll find the video in your "Downloads" folder by default. It's the file ending with ".mp4."
- If you select a quality that's much lower or higher than the original video, select Render first, and then Download. Rendering takes a little longer, as FDownloader has do to some extra work in the background.^{[2]

- You may have to click or tap Download or Save to start the download.
- Once the download is complete, you can watch the video by double-clicking (or tapping) it in your Downloads folder.
- If you're using an iPhone or iPad and want to get the video into the Photos app, tap the blue arrow in the address bar, and then tap Downloads on the menu. Tap the video, tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow), and then select Save Video.

This can be a reel or a video in a regular post. You can log into Facebook in a web browser or use a mobile app.
To do so, click the share icon. For regular posts, it's the button that says Share below the post. For reels, play the video and then click the icon that resembles a curved arrow pointing right. Then click Copy Link.

Paste the link in a new tab. Open a new tab in your web browser and paste the link in the address bar at the top of the page. If you are using a mobile device, open your web browser and paste the video in the address bar.
- If you are using a mobile device, you may need to log into your Facebook account.
Highlight the URL you just pasted into the address bar. Change "www" to "mbasic" and press Enter or Return. This will change the interface to a simplified, lightweight version of Facebook.
This will play the video in full-screen mode.
To do so on a computer, simply right-click (or Control-click on Mac) the video playback. If you are using a mobile device, simply tap and hold the video. Click or tap the option to download or save the video. It will say "Download video", "Save video as..." or something similar. You can change the file name of the video if you want. Click Save when you are done. This will download the video to your "Downloads" folder by default.^{[3]

Downloading Your Own Videos

If you want to download your own videos that you have uploaded to Facebook, you can easily do so from your profile page. Log in to Facebook.com and then click your profile icon in the upper-right corner. Then click your name at the top of the drop-down menu.
It's at the top of the page. This displays all of your videos.
This displays the video in full-screen mode.
It's in the upper-right corner next to your username.
This will download the video to your "Downloads" folder by default.
