Are you having trouble finding your Facebook messages? All messages sent through Facebook messenger can be seen by clicking the Messenger icon—a chat bubble with a lightning bolt inside. You can also find your Support Inbox if needed. Here’s how to check your message inbox on Facebook using your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

Open the Facebook app on your phone or tablet, or log in to Facebook on a computer.
Click or tap the chat bubble with a lightning bolt.
Select a chat to view it.

Open the Facebook app. This looks like a white f with a blue background.

Tap the Messenger icon. This looks like a speech bubble with a lightning bolt. You can find it in the top-right corner of the app.
- The Chats screen will open.

Tap a chat to view it. When you have an unread message, it will have a red circle next to it.
- You can respond with text, images, emojis, and voice messages.
- If you need to find your Support Inbox to find a message sent to or from Facebook Support, tap ☰. Scroll down and tap Help & support. Then, tap Support Inbox.

Log into https://www.facebook.com/ in a web browser. You should see your home feed.

Click the Messenger icon. This looks like a speech bubble with a lightning bolt, and you'll see it up in the upper-right corner of the page.
- This opens the "Chats" panel, which displays your recent messages.

Click See all in Messenger. This link is at the bottom of the Chats panel.
- Your Messenger inbox will open.

Review your inbox. You can scroll through conversations in the column on the left side of the page. Recent conversations are at the top of the column, while older conversations are toward the bottom.
- If you need to find your Support Inbox to find a message sent to or from Facebook Support, click your profile and select Help & Support. Then, click Support Inbox.
