What are good gifts ideas for my grandma's birthday?
It's my grandma's birthday in a couple weeks and I want to show her how much she means to me. I'm just stumped on what to get her when she already has everything she needs. Does anyone have any suggestions?
If you want to give a low-cost gift they're sure to enjoy, think about the things that they love and do something personal for them. You could plan to make a special meal, take them out to do an activity they enjoy, or even make a custom coupon book they can "redeem" with you, such as spending extra time with them or watching their favorite movie together.
Now that I'm older, I really love to have comfy clothes to wear around the house when I'm relaxing. Why not get her some new slippers, a robe, a soft blanket, or a set of pajamas that she can put on when she's lounging?
Is your grandpa still around? My grandma has a photo of her and my grandpa from their wedding, and I got it printed on a custom canvas for her birthday. She loves reminiscing about the good old days, and she had such a big smile when she opened it :)
Otherwise, you can't really go wrong with a gift card to her favorite restaurant!

If your grandparents have recently retired, they may have trouble transitioning and filling the time, so get them something to help them explore new activities.
Sign them up for a cooking class or a local arts workshop if they've expressed interest. There are tons of experiences for seniors that can keep them active and make new friends.

- Make her a gift basket with some nice soaps, lotions, and bubble bath or fill it with her favorite snacks and treats.
- Give her a framed photo of your or your family. You can also get keepsakes made with photos on mugs, keychains, blankets, calendars, etc.
- A nice houseplant or bouquet of her favorite flowers.
- Get her a subscription for something she likes, such as tea, coffee, wine, books, crafts, puzzles, or art supplies.

Would your grandma like something practical? I got mine a portable pill organizer so she doesn't have to carry so many medicine bottles with her.
As a grandmother myself, I love things that I can use to decorate my home. My grandkids got me scented candles for my last birthday and it's been a delight burning them throughout the year.
